Gamification Engages Employees in Corporate Social Responsibility Campaign
CHALLENGE
Our client, Alcon, needed a unique approach to promote their company’s support of a United Way donation campaign.
ACTION
SPI Group’s solution: a campaign that uses gamification. Working with our client we created a microsite that invited employees to:
- create a unique United Way superhero
- base their superheroes on the United Way’s core programs: Learn well, Earn well, Live well
- customize their superhero’s appearance and powers
- upload a selfie to replace their superhero’s face
- complete a “mad-lib” style story that described their character’s adventures to support the United Way
- print and post their superhero poster in their workspace
RESULTS
The campaign raised tremendous brand awareness through superhero posters that hung throughout their sites.
